Senior Keyworker - James Liston Hostel
The recently refurbished James Liston Hostel is a transitional housing hostel operating 24/7 that supports up to 50 clients who previously were homeless/rough sleeping. The service provides a safe base from which support is offered to access services and aid transition into permanent housing situations.
We are now are seeking a Senior Keyworker to provide operational support and case management to specifically complex clients referred to the James Liston Community.
As a Senior keyworker you will be responsible for supervising operational, staff and client activities on their shift. Provide coaching and guidance specifically to Support Workers to deliver effective support work activities. You will work with clients who have high complex needs including histories of trauma, sexual and domestic violence, mental health, addiction and challenging behaviours and work cross-functionally with other Auckland City Mission services and external parties.
The role requires a client-centred, strengths-based approach, strong professional practice and the ability to work as part of a resilient team.
