HomeGround is Auckland City Missions new purpose built home. The project is the first of its kind in New Zealand and using an internationally proven best practice model of care, we aim to strengthen individuals, families and our community. Our state of the art building will provide a health & social services centre, detox facilities, residential units and a powerful, pragmatic activity program, covering everything from art and carving workshops, to conference and social enterprise opportunities. 

We are now looking for a Senior Communications Advisor for a 12 month Fixed Term Contact 

As Senior Communications Advisor you will work with the HomeGround Project team to create and deliver clear, compelling change management communications to internal and external audiences. Using well developed change management tools and multi-channel communication techniques you will develop individual communication plans that positively engage, inform and influence two key audiences;

  • Internal: Deliver informative and timely messaging that assists a smooth transition of Mission services and stakeholders into the new building.
  • External: Design engaging and easy to understand content about HomeGround services aimed at Mission current service users and potential clients.

To be successful in this position you will be an senior experienced communications professional with a broad range of exposure ideally including social services, housing and charitable organisations. Your highly developed writing styles will enable you to adapt to a range of audiences from internal stake holders and board members, different cultures including Maori & Pacifica and current & potential service users which include homeless and people facing addiction challenges.  You will also have;

· A Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or other related field

· A minimum of 6 years’ experience in change management or project communication

· Extensive experience using digital marketing and communication platforms

· Experience delivering a wide range of collateral
